Chad Brock returns home

Born and raised in Ocala, Chad Brock began singing at age six in a local Baptist church where his grandfather led the music and his grandmother played piano. As a child, his family frequently traveled to Georgia to attend bluegrass festivals, but his biggest influence in music is attributed to his high school choir teacher Florene Reese. She discovered his voice and quickly had him singing solos in all music programs and Christmas pageants.

"Her last words to me were, 'All you need to do in life is to sing.'" He took her words to heart and moved to Nashville in 1993, formed a band and played in honky-tonks from Florida to California for a year.

Chad Brock's star began rising when he signed with Warner Brothers and produced his debut self-titled album featuring the hits "Evangeline," "Ordinary Life" and "You Made A Liar Out Of Me."

And Chad brought his full star power to bear on stage at Silver Springs for his triumphant return home on April 1st, sharing the day with old pro Porter Wagoner.
